QIBA May Event Review

On the afternoon of May 26, the first phase of the 2021 Expert Forum Series of the Qingdao Biomedical Industry Chamber of Commerce (QBICC) was successfully held in the Qingdao Blue Biomedical Industrial Park. This activity was co-sponsored by Qingdao International Business Association (QIBA) and QBICC, and undertaken by Qingdao Blue Biomedical Industrial Park. It was supported by the Science and Technology Innovation Department and Investment Promotion Department of the Qingdao High-Tech Zone.
Attending the event were Cecil Lee, chairman of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China-Shandong and chairman of QIBA; David Zhang, partner of AllBright’s Qingdao office; Yang Feng, executive deputy general manager of the Qingdao Blue Biomedical Industrial Park; Kong Ruoxia, Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce; Sang Yuanbin, special expert partner of Dayou Capital; Ai Feng, general manager of Shenzhen Ultra-Diagnostics Biotec; Li Linhuan, sales director of HIGHTOP Biotech; and members of QIBA and QBICC. Also attending were representatives of the State of Bavaria-China Office; the German State Rhineland-Palatinate in China; the Honorary Foreign Economic Counsellor of Hungary; the Government of South Australia Jinan Representative Office; the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
 
Before the activity, attenders visited the exhibition hall of the Blue Biomedical Industrial Park. The park houses more than 80 backbone enterprises and small and medium-sized start-ups, has introduced seven experts of the Thousand Talents Program and five Taishan Scholars. They have successfully cultivated China’s first global patent innovation pet chemicals (class 1.1), the “vitacoxib chewable tablets” project.

During the activity, David Zhang, partner of AllBright Qingdao office and vice chairman of QIBA; Yang Feng, executive deputy general manager of Lanshengyuan; and Kong Ruoxia, secretary general of the QBICC, delivered speeches discussing resource exchange, win-win cooperation, and a strong desire to develop the biomedical industry.



Next, Xu Bin, executive secretary general of QBICC and general manager of Qianfan Medical; Sun Yue, international sales director of Hightop Biotech, and Ai Feng, general manager of Shenzhen UD-biotech, introduced their companies’ market channels, international trade, and advantageous products. Qianfan Medical has built a trade channel with rich product pipelines and broad coverage. Hightop Biotech has a complete set of new crown solutions, a high quality product widely praised by the international community and now being exported to more than 40 countries and regions in Europe, South America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, etc. Shenzhen UD-Biotech is committed to a full range of thrombosis and hemostasis diagnostic products. Their portable glycosylated hemoglobin analyzer and portable coagulation analyzer feature convenient use with fast and accurate detection results, and consequently are in the leading position in the world. The representatives attending expressed that they will work together to accumulate superior resources and make concerted efforts to export high-quality products and services.
Sang Yuanbin, a special expert of the QBICC and partner of Qingdao Dayou Capital, delivered a keynote report entitled, “Development Trend of Medical industry: Reform, Combine and Cooperate”.At the end of the activity, the group visited the biological production workshop and exhibition hall of Hightop Biotech.
Because of the current complex and challenging times, China’s biomedical industry faces both difficulties and opportunities. This activity linked QIBA"international resources and the chamber" high-quality enterprises to effectively help businesses access more opportunities, understand the development situation, find more possibilities in the international market, and promote domestic high-quality products and services abroad.
